Great place for any meal!

Excellent food, and customer service. Definitely recommend everyone to try it.

Staff were super welcoming and food was good. Decore isn't much to write home about but the price was great and I left full and happy. Will be back.

Awful. I stood waiting at the entrance to be seated, and the woman who walked in behind me got served first, I wasn't even looked at. Then her order was taken first and she got her food before me too. I was never asked how my meal was. The meal had edible components and non-edible components. I don't think I'll bother to ever go back. If anyone frequents this place regularly I have no idea why.

Great ice cream!

Small and cozy! The foods is above expectation. Highly recommend to try royal BBQ ribs, steak and kidney pie!

The locals told me about this place. Family run restaurant. No fancy decor, but great service and easy parking. Try the BBQ Burger with bacon. You won't be sorry.

I appreciated the friendly service: the owner added value by sharing his story.I ordered the Mexican burger. My family had fish & chips, soup and sandwich, and the daily special. I really enjoyed the experience and highly recommend the Royal Roads Cafe!

Great atmosphere and great food

I've always been satisfied with my meals and the value when i have eaten here aline and with my wife and kids. The only reason for not 5 stars is the decor and outside presentation is tires

it was just great, my friend and i was so pleased with the food and the service. its a wonderful place nice and cozy. the food is just great.. this is the place i will be eating from now on. love this place

The service is good and for those who don't want to wait then go else where, good fresh food is not fast food and it takes time to prepare.This place does not deserve a bad review, I can't believe there are people who post bad reviews about this cafe, it is a very good and clean place with great food and the service is good as well.Keep up the good work RRC.

Great local diner, amazing breakfast and fresh coffee. Customer service was very friendly and personalized, you're not just another meal!! Will be back over the next couple of weeks during my residency at RRU!

Not the best Highway restaurant, food is just ok.

Nice family run restaurant. Very wide classic choices on the menu. Good fish and chips. Not the best from other places I have eaten at but they were still tasty. Great desserts here too, especially pies. Definitely a great choice for a family meal. My 94yr old grandma approves!

First time there. I was turned off by the unkept fish tank. Those poor fish. Place looked old. Ended up having coffee and a scone. Clean your tank!!!

We've been going to RR Cafe for many years, always great food, great staff. However today makes the third time recently that the food hasn't been up to standard for us. The sandwich was burnt and dry and the fries were dry. Not sure if there is someone new in the kitchen but this isn't what we are used to from this cafe. Hopefully it won't continue.

I like to stop at local spots because sometimes you'll find a hidden gem. This place was very unassuming and when I went inside, I was the only person there. It was dated and the decor is primarily baby pictures all over the walls. There's nothing specifically wrong with that as it's a mom and pop shop style family restaurant and they were both very nice. What got me was the food. Obviously it was super cheap and I wasn't expecting fine dining but the burger and fries I received was very, very basic. The patty was boxed, pre frozen and pretty grey. It still wasn't the worst burger I have tasted recently but I didn't feel very well eating it. I understand it's very competitive to run a restaurant but unfortunately, I wouldn't go back.

Simple cafe style diner. The couple who run it are very hard working. Ita a good place to stop for a quick lunch and some coffee. Don't expect fancy.

2-stars for the excellent service but the food was sub-par. Ordered soup and sandwiches and neither were tasty or fresh. My husband felt ill later-on. The chicken nuggets my son ordered were mostly breading. We do not recommend.

I went there one busy Friday night because other places were packed, I must say I had the Prime Rib, and it was really good, giving if four stars because of that.

A really well kept and clean place. Don't be fooled by it being set back from Sooke Road and sometimes missed by drivers. It is a quality gem for friends to meet, families to treat and an all age retreat. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. Come in and say 'Hi', don't be shy, give it a try.

After our power had been out for 6 hours we decided to eat out. Everywhere was very busy..we ended up here.Greeted by very wonderful staff...obviously extremely busy due to power outage and short staffed..packed house.Service was amazing...Ordered oyster burgers x2 for my wife and i ..one of the best we have ever had.Thankyou for the wonderful...courteous...prompt service and amazing food...

Great breakfast menu and very reasonable. I recommend the pancake stack with egg, sausage and bacon.
